If Warner Robins fans were concerned the softball doubleheader against Webster County Friday might run long and they would be torn between staying or leaving for the Demons’ football game against Tift County, they quickly found relief.
The Demonettes made quick work of it. They beat Webster County 16-1 in the first game and 21-4 in the second. Both lasted only three innings.
Warner Robins out-hit its visitor 13-3 in Game 1 while scoring 10 in the first and six in the second.
In Game 2, the Demonettes scored two in the first – Webster, the home team in that contest, actually tied it in the bottom of the inning – seven in the second and 12 in the third. Webster added lone runs in the final two innings. It was out-hit this time, 9-1.
The wins were also Warner Robins’ first of the year.
