Harris County’s Tigers had this: With the first quarter clock down to a minute, they were still in it.

That’s because after Warner Robins had gone 65 yards on its first possession of the game for a score – a five-yard run by Jarius Burnette coupled with an Elis Mashburn point after – they had forced the Demons to punt twice following.
What they didn’t have, however, was anything but punts to show for their three possessions. Plus, there was this: A 15-yard pass from quarterback Dylan Fromm with 37 seconds left on that aforementioned clock for Warner Robins’ second score. Mashburn made it 14-0 and the Demons went on from there to a 34-8 win.
Harris County turned it over on downs on its first possession of the second. That led to a 10-play drive of 47 yards in which Fromm connected with Jaeven West for the score. Mashburn made it 21-0 and then 24-0 with about 30 seconds to go in the half on his 30-yard fieldgoal.

The Tigers were intercepted by Christian Anderson on their first possession of the third. Warner Robins was unable to turn that into a score and subsequently turned it over on downs.
Both punted following before Jam’l Dillard recovered a Tigers fumble. That came on the 35. Three plays later, Burnette, who had 182 of the Demons’ 242 rushing yards, ran it in from the 33. Mashburn made it 31-0. He added a 23 yarder early in the fourth to make it 34-0.
The fourth was also played with a running clock. Calvin Harris, who entered the game with more than 1,100 yards rushing and was sixth overall in all classifications, had been pretty much shut out for most of the night. That is, until he got free for a 71-yard run. Warner Robins did have much of its bench in but that’s not to discredit his effort. The Tigers also made the two-point conversion to complete the final score.
The Demons remained perfect in Region 1-AAAAA, and overall, with the win. They are now 2-0, 8-0. Harris County fell to 0-1, 3-4.
