Well, you can give Warner Robins this. The Demonettes kept it competitive early. Late, on the other hand, it began to fall apart as Veterans beat the girls at home, 14-5.
Both scored two runs to start the first. The Lady Warhawks pushed one across in the second and then it was back to two each in the third.

Veterans then scored three in the fourth to make it 7-4. Both then scored a run in the fifth before the Lady Warhawks disposed of any thoughts of a rally with five in the seventh. They out-hit Warner Robins 15-7.
Two of those belonged to Kaylee Brown. She also walked in four plate appearances while making the most of them in terms of RBIs. She drove in four.
Also, Trinity Thiel went 4-5 – one of those a double – while bringing home three. Anna Dumas, 1-5, and Kaylee Brown, 2-4 with a walk, each drove in a pair.
Ryla Christian had a perfect night to lead the Demonettes. She was 4-4 – one of those a homerun – with three RBIs and two scored.
Veterans used two pitchers in the effort, Jenna West and Emily Myers. The first got the win. She worked five innings while giving up six hits and five runs. She also struck out two and walked two. Myers worked two innings. She gave up a hit and struck out one.
Warner Robins also used two pitchers, Kelseigh Henry and Acasha Dollar. The first took the loss while going four innings, allowing eight hits and eight runs, and walking two. Dollar gave up five hits, six runs, walked two as well, and struck out one.
The win gave the Lady Warhawks the sweep over one of their cross-town rivals and Region 1-AAAAA foes. The improved to 2-2 in the division, 9-6 overall, while the Demonettes fell to 1-3, 6-12.

Elsewhere, Lee County scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh – including a walk-off single to edge Houston County 4-3. (Two walks to start the inning didn’t help for sure.)
Runs simply did not come easy for either team early. The Lady Trojans did score one in the first, and made it stick until the Lady Bears pushed three across in the sixth.
Those came via Grace Hardee’s (1-2 with a walk) homerun that brought in Taylor Peebles (1-3) and Kenly Sullivan (2-4), each of which had singled with an out in the books.
Houston County used three pitchers in the effort, while the host went with Abby Hughes. She proved to be well worth it, as she struck out 10 while walking three.
Lee County also remained unbeaten in 1-AAAAAA. It is now 6-0, 10-9 overall. The Lady Bears are 4-3, 11-7.
Spalding also rallied to get past Perry 6-4. The Lady Panthers scored one in the third to get out front, but two innings later found Spalding pushing four across. Perry cut it to 4-3 with two in the top of the sixth, but the host answered that with two of its own. Perry’s final run came in the seventh.
Hits were even at 8 apiece. Half of the Lady Panthers’ came via Annie Chance and Emily Davis, each of which were 2-4.
Charisma Winkler went the distance but took the loss. She walked four and struck out two.
With the win, Spalding kept pace with West Laurens (6-0) at the top of Region 2-AAAA. It is now 5-1, 12-4 overall. Perry fell to 3-4 – in fourth currently – and 7-10.
