Take away the five-run first and the seven-run sixth, and it’s a ballgame.
Keep them in, which you obviously have to do, and it’s a 13-5 for Veterans over Warner Robins Tuesday at home.

The Lady Warhawks’ other run came in the third. The Demonettes scored theirs in the fourth, fifth and sixth – one, three and one, respectively.
They did manage to put up 10 hits – Veterans had 15. Three of those belonged to Amiya Holder, who was perfect at the plate. She also drove in two and scored one. Ryla Christian was also an elusive out. She went 3-3 as well, and also drew a walk, while earning two RBIs and scoring once.
The Lady Warhawks on the other hand had six players collect multiple hits. Jenna Thomas was 3-4 with an RBI and two scored. Kaylee Brown was 2-4 as was Trinity Thiel, Sarah Wilkerson and Skyler Welford. Emily Myers was 2-2. Thomas drove in one, Brown three, Thiel and Welford one and Welford two.
Also, Anna Dumas was only 1-3, but that one was a homerun good enough for three RBIs.
Jenna West earned the win. She went four and two-thirds innings, gave up nine hits and four runs. She walked one and struck out six. Emily Myers relieved her and worked an inning and third. She gave up the final hit, walked one and struck out three.
The Lady Warhawks improved to 7-3 with the win while Warner Robins fell to 4-9.

Elsewhere, Perry fell at West Laurens and Houston County came up six runs short at Jones County.
The Lady Raiders beat the Lady Panthers 12-0 in four innings. Eleven of those runs came in the first. To make matters worse, Perry was out-hit 12-1 – Olivia Hardy providing the only single.
The Lady Panthers fell to 5-7 overall, and being a Region 2-AAAA tilt, 1-2 in that regard. West Laurens improved to 8-1 overall and 3-0 in the division.
As far as the Lady Bears, they fell 8-2. A four-run sixth helped the Lady Greyhounds but they held a 4-1 lead through five and out-hit the visitor 14-4.
In fact, Grace Hardee earned the only RBI for Houston County, going 1-3 – the one being a triple.
