Jacquez Green is a native of Fort Valley, Georgia. Growing up he was a star athlete at Peach County High School where he excelled in football, basketball and track and field. Earning all-state honors in
both basketball and football as a senior, Green was also a member of the Trojans’ state championship 4×100-meter relay team as a junior. He would go on to play receiver for the ole ball coach, Steve Spurrier, at the University of Florida where he was a member of the Gators’ national championship team in 1996. Green earned All-American honors in 1997 and was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Jacquez in the 1998 draft and he played there from 1998 – 2001. After spending the 2002 season with the Washington Redskins, Green retired in 2003. Since his time in the NFL, Green has spent most of his career coaching at the high shcool level. He is now the offensive coordinator for Lincoln High School in Tallahasse, Florida.
